David was born in Queens, New York. He has always been a "beach goer"at Rockaway since his early childhood. At an early age he decided to visit Florida, and it was at Daytona beach where he caught his first wave and became a surfer for life. Surfing as much as he can at his home break (Rockaway) he then started to develop a unique rhythm with the ocean.
In 2008 he studied in Los Angeles where he frequently surfed Venice beach, then traveled to Peru where he started giving lessons during the North American winter months. There were people from many parts of the world at Makaha Beach, Lima, where he gave lessons. Teaching there has given him the experience to work in demanding conditions and prepared him to provide a safe environment for future pupils.
In 2015 he opened his services in giving surf lessons in the city where he was born & raised. David is looking forward in becoming a leader not only instructing in the water but also in showing the best practices for sustainable and healthy living. He wants to have his students not only focus on surfing but to also appreciate how unique, and beautiful the sport is thanks to "Mother Nature" and reminds us that it wouldn't be the same without her.
